A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Elsie Eleanor Lambert, 81 of Collins, who passed away on Sunday, June 9, 2019, at the Merit Health-Wesley Medical Center in Hattiesburg.
Reverend Chris Garcia will officiate at the services. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 3:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.
Mrs. Lambert was born on August 2, 1937 in St. Paul, Minnesota. She was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. Mrs. Lambert retired from Parkview Hospital in Riverside, California as a unit secretary after twenty-six years of service. After her retirement, she moved to Mississippi and went to work at Wal-Mart in Magee for eighteen years as a door greeter. She was a Christian and a member of the Magee Congregational Methodist Church. She loved meeting people and was an avid animal lover.
She was preceded in death by husband, Walter Reese Lambert; her parents, Earl Atchison and Elsie Wingler Miller; her foster mother, Linda Clark; and one daughter, Janet Ludwig.
Survivors include four daughters, Judy Butler (Johnny) of Collins, Sherie L. Park (Paul) of Riverside, California, Marcy L. Lefevre of Biloxi, and Bonnie Lefevre of Las Vegas, Nevada; seven grandchildren, Jamie, Tony, Gregory, Miranda, Maggie, Courtney, and Amanda; fourteen great-grandchildren; and one sister, Delores Schwartz of Portland, Oregon; one special nephew, Jimmy Atchison of Kathleen, Georgia; and a host of other family members.
