Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Willow Grove Baptist Church in Collins for Elwanda Rawls May, 70 of Seminary, who passed away on Monday, September 3, 2018 at the Leakesville Rehab & Nursing Center in Leakesville.

Reverend Billy Purser will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Willow Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins.  Special music will be provided by Mrs. Mary Nell Sims and Miss Stevie Cain.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Saturday, September 8, 2018 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.

Pallbearers will be Chris May, Alec May, Reggie Jones, Todd Jones, Tom Kennedy, Michael Glisson, Larry McCarty, and Stan Rogers.  Honorary pallbearer will be Tim Smith.

Mrs. May was born on May 11, 1948 in Collins, Mississippi.  She was a loving mother and grandmother.  Mrs. May was a retired respiratory therapist and cosmetologist.  She was a member of the Willow Grove Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Herman and Olene McAndrews Rawls.

Survivors include her twin daughters, Belinda Evans Speed (Larry McCarty) of Seminary and Brenda Evans Smith (Tim) of Brookhaven; one son, Chris May (Jennifer) of New Braunfels, Texas; one sister, Yolanda Rawls Kennedy (Ed) of Taylorsville; six grandchildren, Reggie Jones (Kim), Todd Jones, Nicole Smith Prather (Anthony), Alec May, Bryce May, and Alyse May; two great-grandchildren, Mason Prather and Weston Prather; one niece, Kimberly Kennedy Glisson (Michael) of Petal; and one nephew, Tom Kennedy (Lori) of Taylorsville.
