Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, August 22, 2020 at the McDonald Chapel Cemetery in Collins for Emogene McDonald Horton, 89 of Collins, who passed away on Monday, August 17, 2020 at her residence.

Reverend Grover Gunn will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the McDonald Chapel Cemetery in Collins.  Special music will be provided by Mr. Caleb Williamson.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be her nephews, Wayne Lyles, Gary Lyles, Jerry Campbell, Larry Campbell, Kim Campbell, Mike Upton, Stacy Perry, and Steve Williamson.

Mrs. Horton was born on June 5, 1931 in Collins, Mississippi to Alex and Roma Powell McDonald.  She was a loving wife, sister, and aunt.  Mrs. Horton was a homemaker.  She was a member of the McDonald Presbyterian Church.  Mrs. Horton enjoyed flowers, shopping, and spending time with her family and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alex and Roma Powell McDonald; her husband, James T. Horton; and three sisters, Edwina McDonald Lyles, Maxine McDonald Upton (her twin), and Faye McDonald Campbell.

Survivors include her sister, Charlotte McDonald Perry of Magnolia; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
