A Private Family Graveside Service will be held at the Union South Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary for Esther Pierce Trigg, 81 of Seminary, who passed away on Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at her residence surrounded by her family and loved ones.
Reverend Brenda McClendon will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Union South Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be her sons and grandsons, Timothy Trigg, Terry Trigg, Ron Tharp, Dalton Trigg, Colton Trigg, and Kendall Trigg.
Mrs. Trigg was a life-long resident of Seminary, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Mrs. Trigg was a retired homemaker and had operated the family cattle business alongside her husband. In earlier years, she owned a restaurant (which was known for her steaks), worked as a telephone operator and had many jobs as a fashion model, a career she told friends and family she enjoyed the most. Mrs. Trigg was a member of the Union South Baptist Church in Seminary.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilmer and Tressie Shows Pierce; two sisters, Leo Ware and Evelyn Sanford; and two brothers, James Pierce and Bill Pierce, who was also her twin.
Survivors include her husband of sixty-two years, William Lawrence Trigg of Seminary; two sons, Timothy Trigg of Seminary and Terry Trigg (Ron Tharp) of Nashville, Tennessee; four grandchildren, Dalton Trigg (Amy Eavenson Trigg) of Seminary, Colton Trigg of Marshalltown, Iowa, Savannah Trigg of Seminary, and Kendall Trigg of Seminary; one sister, Sarah Pearce of Hattiesburg; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made via donations in her name to the American Cancer Society, P.O. Box 22478, Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, 73123.
