Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2020 at the Jesus Name Tabernacle in Seminary for Evonne Sanford Warren, 83 of Seminary, who passed away on Friday, August 7, 2020 at her residence..
Reverend Roy Craft and Mr. Byron Dillard will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Sanford Family Cemetery in Seminary. Special music will be provided by Reverend Roy Craft, and Reverend and Mrs. Ronnie Sanford. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 11:30 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Monday, August 10, 2020 at the Jesus Name Tabernacle on Cascio-Taomina Road in Seminary. The funeral and church will adhere to the state's protocol on social distancing and wearing masks for your safety .
Pallbearers will be Randall Lowery, Rodney Lowery, Jonathan Moore, Joel Crosby, and Bo Miller.
Mrs. Warren was born on April 15, 1937 in Seminary, Mississippi to Captain Shirley Sanford and Iona Mooney Sanford. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She retired after forty years of service at the Covington County Hospital and the Covington County Nursing Center as a Licensed Practical Nurse. Mrs. Warren was a member of the Jesus Name Tabernacle.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Captain Shirley Sanford and Iona Mooney Sanford; one sister, Johnnie Vee Sanford Lowery; and six brothers, Hubert Sanford, Herbert Sanford, Howard Sanford, Herman Sanford, Hershel Sanford, and Leon Sanford.
Survivors include her husband of fifty-three years, Wilmer Gene Warren of Seminary; one daughter, Nancy Warren Dillard, and her husband, Vincent of Seminary: one brother, Hulon Sanford of Richland; three grandchildren, Byron Dillard, Rebecca Agar, and Jason Dillard; three great-grandchildren, Eli Dillard, Ethan Dillard, and Bianca Agar; and a host of nieces and nephews.
