Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins, Mississippi for Frances Leigh Culpepper Sanford, 82 of Seminary, who passed away on Sunday, April 18, 2021, at her home surrounded by her loving family.
Reverend Ronnie Sanford and Reverend Roy Craft and will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Hubert and Herbert Sanford Family Cemetery in Seminary, Mississippi. Special music will be provided by Reverend Ronnie Sanford and Reverend Roy Craft. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, April 20, 2021, at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home.
Pallbearers will be Aaron Leath, Aaron Graves, Lyndon Adam Sanford, Gavin Culpepper, Tim Robinson, and Clay Kitchens. Honorary pallbearers will be Leighton Sanford, C.J. Sanford, Tony Sanford, Randall Lowery, and Joey Sanford.
Mrs. Frances was born on June 19, 1938, in Collins, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt, and friend. She was a member of Jesus Name Tabernacle in Seminary, Mississippi. She loved cooking for her family and all family gatherings. She loved decorating, shopping, and vacationing with her loving family. She will be greatly missed by her loving family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Hershel Sanford; parents, Eugene Edmond Culpepper and Sarah Edna Thompson Culpepper; five brothers, William Edward Culpepper, Wilton Culpepper, Rayford Culpepper, Leon Culpepper, and Jimmy Culpepper; two sisters, Willie Ree Culpepper Proctor and Bobbie Culpepper Robinson.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald Hershel Sanford, Richard Terry Sanford, and Roger Neil Sanford and his wife, Jill, all of Seminary; six grandchildren, Adaira Graves and her husband, Aaron, Kaleigh Sanford (Aaron Leath), Adam Sanford, Shella Kitchens and husband Clayton, Captain James "C.J." Sanford, and Leighton Sanford; nine great-grandchildren, Dallas Gatwood, Olivia Ford, Jenaleigh Kitchens, Molly Graves, Lukas Graves, Bethaneigh Kitchens, Veda Leath, Captain Levi Graves, and Lathan Hershel Kitchens; her beloved cat, Sneaky; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
