Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Saturday, December 4, 2021 at the Maranatha Baptist Church in Mount Olive for Frances Jadine Fleming Ellis, 85, of Petal, and formerly of Mount Olive, who passed away on Saturday, November 20, 2021 at her residence.
Reverend Danny Adams, Reverend Rudy Jackson, and Reverend Danny Powell will officiate at the services. Special music will be provided by Mr. Jim Young, Mrs. Summer White, and Mrs. Kim Jorns. Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Mount Olive will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held on Saturday, December 4, 2021 from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Maranatha Baptist Church in Mount Olive.
Pallbearers will be Tim White, Kyle Kramer, Reese Powell, Josh Gandy, Thames Gandy, Justin Starnes. Honorary pallbearers will be Kenny McBeth, Joel McBeth. and Shane McBeth.
Mrs. Ellis was born on Monday, June 29, 1936 in Brinson, Georgia to Jesse Dewey Fleming and Beulah Rainey Fleming. She was a loving and devoted wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Mrs. Ellis retired after fifty plus years of service as a bookkeeper for W.E. Blain and Sons, Inc. in Mount Olive. She was a member of Maranatha Baptist Church.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband, Clifton Earl Ellis Sr.; her parents, Jesse Dewey Fleming and Beulah Rainey Fleming; a grandson, Chance Ellis; two brothers, Bill Fleming and Dewey Fleming; and a sister-in-law, Betty Fleming.
Survivors include two daughters, Donna Ellis Gandy, and her husband, Thames of Hattiesburg; and Frances "Fran" Ellis Powell of Brandon; one son, Earl Ellis, and his wife, Gaye of Petal; eight grandchildren; twenty-two great-grandchildren; one sister, Donna Lee, and her husband, Bobby of Milton, Florida; and a sister-in-law, Jo Fleming of Dalton, Georgia; and a host of nieces and nephews.
