Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Mount Olive for Frances Virginia Lewis Woods, 88 of Mount Olive, who passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2017 at the Covington County Nursing Center in Collins.

Reverend Rudolph Sims and Reverend Bob Phillips will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Mount Olive City Cemetery. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, October 25, 2017 at the First Baptist Church of Mount Olive.

Pallbearers will be Larry Calhoun, Mike Cumbest, Mike Donahoo, Robert Johnson, Shay Sanford, Stephen Smith, and Steve Walker.

Mrs. Woods was born on July 12, 1929 in Mount Olive, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Mrs. Woods was a member of the First Baptist Church of Mount Olive where she kept the nursery until her declining health.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Thomas Issac Lewis and Lula Ates Lewis; her husband, Wylie Reginald "Billy" Woods; five sisters, Leora Bowden, Marjorie Flynt, Ruth Townsend, Dorothy Marquis, and Annette Saunders; and four brothers, Jack Lewis, Billy Lewis, George Lewis, and Sidney Lewis.

Survivors include two daughters, Mary Ann Woods Shoemake and her husband, Doug of Collins, and Barbara Woods Smith and her husband, Steve of Thomson, Georgia; three grandchildren, Kathy Shoemake of Brookhaven, Stacy Shoemake Sanford and her husband, Shay of Collins, and Stephen Smith and his wife, Courtney of Thomson, Georgia; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.

In lieu of flowers, the family request that memorials be made to the Alzheimer's Association Mississippi, 232 Market Street, 2nd Floor, Flowood, Mississippi, 39232.
