A private family memorial service will be held at a later date for Frances Lea Swanigan, 60 of Collins, who passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2020 at the Extended Care Facility in Prentiss.

Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Miss Frances was born on December 25, 1959 in Memphis, Tennessee to John Glenville Swanigan and Elgin Charlene McLeod Swanigan.  She was a loving daughter, sister, and aunt.  Miss Frances was a sweet and caring person that loved spending time with her family and friends.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.  Miss Frances was a member of the Mt. Beulah Baptist Church in Collins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, John Glenville Swanigan and Charlene McLeod Swanigan Hatfield; one brother, John Robert Swanigan; and one sister, Jeanette Swanigan McDonald.

Survivors include her sister, Charlotte Swanigan of Collins; a brother-in-law, Carl Michael McDonald of Collins; a niece, Jennifer McDonald of Collins; a nephew, Christopher Michael McDonald of Collins; a great niece, Syndey Ducksworth of Collins; a great nephew, D'Andre Ducksworth of Collins; and a host of other family members and friends.
