Frank Timothy Pickering

(August 21, 1961 – October 10, 2021)

Graveside services will be held at 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins for Frank Timothy Pickering, 60 of Brandon, who passed away on Sunday, October 10, 2021 in Austin, Texas.

Mr. Kenny Dawson will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Salem Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 2:00 p.m. until 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 17, 2021 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3302 Highway 49, Collins, MS 39428.

Pallbearers will be Randy Chapman, Jeremy Lee, Randy Harris, Keith Kennedy, Michael Williams, and Allen Neely.

Mr. Pickering was born on August 21, 1961 in Dallas, Texas to Pat Herbert Pickering Sr. and Betty Frank Lowery Pickering.  He was a loving son, husband, father, and brother.  Mr. Pickering was a graduate of Florence High School Class of 1979.  He started his career in the construction industry at an early age working with his father.  Mr. Pickering was a general contractor and owned FT Pickering, Inc. in Florence, Mississippi.  He provided quality construction services to the greater Florence area for over forty years.  Mr. Pickering was a member of the Wahabi Shriners in Jackson and was serving as Grand Potentate.  He also was a member of the Harrisville Masonic Lodge #336 F&AM and the 32nd Degree Scottish Rite.  Mr. Pickering was a member of the Mountain Creek Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Betty Frank Lowery Pickering.

Survivors include his wife of twenty-seven years, Linda Breland Pickering of Brandon; his father, Pat Herbert Pickering Sr. of Florence; four children, Kristyn Pickering and Cameron Pickering, both of Oklahoma City, Oklahoma, Breland Pickering and Matt Cliburn, and his wife, Elizabeth, all of Brandon; five grandchildren; six siblings, Pat Herbert Pickering Jr. of Florence, Debbie Pickering Barron, and her husband, Charlie of Florence, Lance Pickering, and his wife, Tammy of Florence, Dara Pickering Saucier, and her husband, Bram of Collins, Stephanie Pickering McAlpin of Florence, and Jennifer Pickering Warriner, and her husband, Ric of Clinton; and a host of nieces and nephews.
