A graveside service will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 2, 2023, at Willow Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins, Mississippi, for Freda Suelene McCutchen, age 81, who departed this life peacefully on May 26, 2023, at Edgewood Nursing Home in Springdale, Arkansas.
Reverend Lee Faler will officiate the service with interment to follow. Billy M. King – Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins, Mississippi, and Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale, Arkansas, are in charge of arrangements.
Visitation will be from 4:00 p.m. until 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday, May 30, 2023, at Sisco Funeral Chapel in Springdale, Arkansas.
Suelene was born July 16, 1941, in Neely, Mississippi, to Wilburn W. Wade and Elsia Mae Avera Wade. She was known to her family and friends as Sue. Suelene married Charles Arthur McCutchen on January 13, 1963, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi, and they moved immediately to Orlando, Florida, to start their new life together and to continue their education.
Suelene worked as a bookkeeper all of her adult life until her retirement. She was a Christian and adhered to her Christian upbringing all throughout her life. She enjoyed spending time with her family, going to movies, sewing, cooking, caring for her pets, and traveling. She had special talents for cooking and baking.
Suelene and Charles spent 60 years working, traveling and enjoying their life together. Suelene's beautiful and colorful life will forever be cherished by her family.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Wilburn W. and Elsia Mae Avera Wade; and her son, Charles A. McCutchen, Jr..
She is survived by her husband, Charles A. McCutchen, Sr.; two daughters, Mia S. McCutchen and Tami A. Wollner; two grandchildren, Madeline Grace Wollner and Samuel Wollner; and two brothers, Wilford E. Wade and Ronald Dale Wade and their families in Mississippi.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made in Suelene's memory to the St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 262 Danny Thomas Place, Memphis, Tennessee, 38105.
