Garland D. Jenkins

(December 31, 1947 – November 26, 2021)

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Garland D. Jenkins, 73 of Collins, who passed away on Friday, November 26, 2021 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Reverend Brad Roberts will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Station Creek Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 12:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 30, 2021 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.

Mr. Jenkins was born on December 31, 1947 in Philadelphia, Mississippi to Detroit and Louise Nicholson Jenkins.  He retired after numerous years of service as a truck driver for Fleet Morris Petroleum and Pine Belt Oil Company.  Mr. Jenkins was a member of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Detroit and Louise Nicholson Jenkins; his first wife, Mary Magdalene Jenkins; a step daughter and son-in-law, Sheila and Mitchell Bond; and a step-grandson, Richard Bond.

Survivors include his wife of twenty-three years, Wanda Kay Ferguson Jenkins of Collins; two step daughters, Katrina Dawn Fairchild of Magee and Misty Kayren Perkins, and her husband, Thomas of Laurel; five step-grandchildren, Ryan Fairchild, Melissa Bond Graham (Jason), Nancy Bond Arinder (Robert), Charlie Bond (Crystal), and Debra Bond; one step great-granddaughter, Carolina Fairchild; and a host of other relatives and friends.
