Gary L. Peden

(June 9, 1960 – May 11, 2023)

A graveside service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Monday, September 9, 2024, at the Collins City Cemetery in Collins for Gary L. Peden, 62 of Tulsa, Oklahoma, formerly of Collins, who passed away on Thursday, May 11, 2023, at his residence.

Reverend Brian Dickens will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Collins City Cemetery at the foot of his parent's grave.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Peden was born on June 9, 1960, in Meridian, Mississippi to Franklin D. and Deloris Ladnier Peden.  He was a graduate of Collins High School.  Mr. Peden was employed in the transportation industry as an over the road truck driver for most of his life.  He was a member of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father Franklin D. Peden; and his grandparents, Julius and Daisy Clayton Ladnier and Clara Christine Peden.

Survivors include his mother, Deloris Ladnier Peden of Collins, MS.; two brothers, Frank D. Peden (Kim) of Clinton, MS. And Robert A. Peden (Kelly) of Meridian, MS.; one sister, Kathy Peden Nicholson (Wiley Dan) of Collins; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
