Funeral services will be held at 2:30 pm on Sunday, November 23, 2025, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Geames William "G.W." Duckworth, 89 of Collins, who passed away on Thursday, November 20, 2025, at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Reverend Tony Keys and Reverend Brooks Porter will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the McDonald Chapel Cemetery in Collins. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Darlene Thompson. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, November 22, 2025, and from 1:00 p.m. until 2:30 p.m. on Sunday, November 23, 2025. at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Highway 49, Collins, MS.
Pallbearers will be his grandsons, Jason Duckworth, Colby Duckworth, Wyatt Duckworth, Jacob Hardin, Will Duckworth, Caleb Keys, and Jay Duckworth.
Mr. Duckworth was born on January 10, 1936, in Sanford, Mississippi to Narvel R. Duckworth and Frances Coston Duckworth. He retired from Universal Magnetek after thirty-five years of service as a supervisor. Mr. Duckworth proudly served his country in the United States Navy. He was a member of the Mount Horeb Baptist Church. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother, and he will be dearly missed by his father and friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Ann Anderson Duckworth; his parents, Narvel R. Duckworth and Frances Coston Duckworth; three brothers, Sid Duckworth, Robert Duckworth and Carr Duckworth; and six sisters, Lottie Duckworth Pitts, Lillie Duckworth Bryant, Dovie Duckworth Bryant, Johnnie Duckworth Gaither, Gladys Duckworth Loveless, and Vallie Duckworth Hill.
Survivors include one daughter, Suzanne Duckworth Keys, (Tony) of Mize; three sons, Joel Duckworth (Melisa) of Mendenhall, Todd Duckworth (Allison) of Mount Olive, and Andy Duckworth of Collins; twelve grandchildren, Steffanie Duckworth, Jason Duckworth (Meagan), Justin Duckworth, Ashley Duckworth Williamson (A.J.), Colby Duckworth (Paige), Samantha Keys Hutson (Brandon), Emily Keys Smith (Deshawn), Caleb Keys, Jacob Hardin (Amy Beach), Wyatt Duckworth, Will Duckworth, and Jay Duckworth; eleven great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
