George Howard Ellis
(July 20, 1941 – June 12, 2025)

Graveside services will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Bullock Cemetery in Seminary for George Howard Ellis, 83 of Seminary, who passed away on Thursday, June 12, 2025 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Brother Joe Lott will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Bullock Cemetery in Seminary. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Tammy Sanford.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive guests from 10:30 am until 11:00am on Saturday, June 14, 2025 at the Bullock Cemetery, Cascio Taormina Road in Seminary, Mississippi.
Pallbearers will be Joseph Ellis, Aaron Ivy, Aaron Saucier, Garrett Henderson, Haze Henderson, and Matt Henderson.
George was known as an honest man who work hard to provide for his family. He was a loving husband, father, brother, grandfather, great-grandfather and friend to all who knew him, and he will be dearly missed.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Bud Ellis and Palmae Sanford Ellis; four brothers, Charles Mooney, Ralph Mooney, Willie  Ellis, Jr.  Doyle Ellis; and two sisters, Betty Shows and Wanda Wilson.
Survivors include his wife of sixty-six years, Shirley Ann Deas Ellis, one son, Michael Ellis (Terri) one daughter, Elizabeth Jean Ellis all of Seminary. Six  grandchildren, Joseph Ellis (Kateryna) of Chandler, Arizona, Candace Henderson (Matt) of Sumrall, Jonna Saucier (Aaron), Aaron Ivy, Misty Rose Ivy and Deidra Danielle Ivy all of Seminary; and one brother, Billy Wayne Ellis of Seminary. Thirteen great-grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
