Gregory Hugh Morgan
(March 7, 1961 – April 30, 2024)

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 pm on Friday, May 3, 2024 at the Billy M. King Funeral Home in Collins for Gregory Hugh Morgan, 63 of Collins, who passed away on Tuesday, April 30, 2024 at his residence in Collins, MS.

Reverend Kenneth McLendon will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Union South Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary.  Special music will be provided by Jeremy Johnson.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 11:00 am until 1:00 pm on Friday, May 3, 2024 at the Billy M. King Funeral Home, 3202 US 49, Collins, MS.

Pallbearers will be Kenny Morgan, Ryan Hynum, Jere Bourgoyne, Michael McLendon, Ian McLendon, and Hayden McLendon. Honorary pallbearers will be Jaxson Hynum and Cayde Hynum.

Greg was married to the love of his life Beth for forty years. He loved hunting and fishing and being outdoors. He was always playing jokes on his family and friends. He was known for his playful demeanor, humorous pranks on his friends and family. Greg loved his family fiercely and valued his time spent with them. He took pride in his children's accomplishments and his role of Pappie to his grandkids. Greg was a loving husband, father, son, brother, and Pappie and a friend to all who knew him and he will be dearly missed.

He was preceded in death by his father, Hue Morgan.

Survivors include his wife, Beth McLendon Morgan,one son, Kenny Morgan (Sarah); one daughter, Monica Morgan Hynum (Ryan) all of Collins. His mother, Mary Grace Drennan Morgan of Hattiesburg; one sister, Lisa Morgan Ward (Randy) of Atlanta, GA; four grandsons, Cheston Morgan, Jaxson Hynum, Cayde Hynum and Wyatt Hynum; three granddaughters, Kenleigh Morgan, Adleigh Hynum and Paisley Hynum; two nephews, Ian McLendon and Hayden McLendon;  and one niece, Madison Ward.
