Obituary

Funeral services will be at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, November 3, 2016 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Hazel Lee Byrd Craft, 91 of Seminary, who passed away on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at the Arrington Living Center in Collins.

Brother Larry Head and Brother Ronnie Sanford will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Bullock Cemetery in Seminary. Special music will be provided by Brother and Mrs. Ronnie Sanford and Jeremy Johnson. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 5:30 p.m. until 8:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 2, 2016 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.

Pallbearers will be Jeremy Moss, Jason Moss, Mark Craft, John Kitchens, Darwin Wade, and Sterling Craft. Honorary pallbearers will be Shawn Matheny, Dylan Matheny, Bryce Craft, Mike Leggett, and Mark Duncan,

Mrs. Craft was born on August 12, 1925 in Sanford, Mississippi. She retired from Reliance Manufacturing, Inc. after nineteen years of service as a seamstress. Mrs. Craft was a loving wife, mother, and grandmother. She was a member of Jesus Name Tabernacle Church in Seminary.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Edmond Byrd and Mavis Mooney Byrd; her husband, John Jefferson Craft; one daughter, Mary Craft Wade; and one brother, Grissett Byrd.

Survivors include two daughters, Martha Craft Davis and her husband, Ted of Seminary, and Loretta Craft Moss and her husband, Lavahn of Ellisville; three sons, John Delbert Craft and his wife, Sharron, Earl Edward Craft and his wife, Laurie, and Frank Harold Craft and his wife, Connie, all of Seminary; four sisters, Iona Moss of Seminary, Willene Sanford of Seminary, Retha Mae Phillips of Moselle, and Shirley Beasley of Seminary; four brothers, John Everett Byrd, Jessie Allen Byrd, Palmer Byrd, and Martin Byrd, all of Sanford; twelve grandchildren; twenty-three great-grandchildren; one great great-grandchild; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
