Ms Helen was a loving mother. She enjoyed sharing the gospel of Jesus by working in the church through her talent of playing the piano. She enjoyed  working with children through the teaching of gospel songs as the children's choir director in several churches during her lifetime. As she grew older and was unable to take care of herself, she moved from Louisiana and was admitted to Landmark of Collins in 2016. Helen enjoyed playing the piano for all the residents and even helped organize a choir with the help of the Landmark Staff. Her mission was that God had put her there for a reason and it was to reach others for Christ through her music. Thank you Landmark of Collins for the care that you gave to our mom the last nine years, you are absolutely the best and thank you Hospice Compasses for the love and all the hugs, we will never forget you. Sherry, Debbie and Connie.
She was preceded in death by her parents, James Clyde  Pitts and  Delphia Jackson Pitts, one great-granddaughter Allyson Justice Graham and three brothers.
Survivors include her daughters, Debbie Boyd Brooks (Bobby Earl) of Seminary, Sherry Boyd Sanford Grant (Shane) of Collins and Connie Boyd Stovall (John) of Hurley; four grandchildren, Joshua Sanford, Shane Scarbrough, Jay Brooks and Christa Graham, eleven great-grandchildren, four great-great grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and other family members.
