Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, January 10, 2021 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Homer Lott, 87 of Seminary, who passed away on Thursday, January 7, 2021 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Dr. Barry Armstrong will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Union South Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 4:30 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Saturday, January 9, 2021 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.
Pallbearers will be his grandchildren, Clayton Lott, Jr., Thomas Lott, Jr., Jennifer Lott Dearen, Nicholas Lott, Megan Lott, Sarrah Der-Ballout, Gabriel Ross, David Pilcher, Levi Pilcher, Ethan Williamson, and Ben Williamson. Honorary pallbearers will be Clayton Lott, Sr., Dr. Larry Pilcher, Sr., Erin Pierson, Larry Pilcher II., Jayden Pilcher, Jaycee Pilcher, Gabriel Pilcher, and Garrison Pilcher.
Mr. Lott was born on March 16, 1933 in Sanford, Mississippi. He was a loving husband, father, and pawpaw. Mr. Lott retired from the United States Air Force as an Aircraft Communication Tech after twenty-one years of service. After retiring from the military, he worked at Hercules, Inc. as an Instrument Tech for numerous years until his retirement. Mr. Lott was a member of the Union South Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Lott and Jeanette Ingram Lott; a son, Thomas A. Lott; a great-grandson, Sebastian Lott; and seven siblings, Christine Lott, Willie Mae Thompson, Ernest Lott, Aubine Lee, Walter Lott Jr., Winnie Graham, and Imogene Courtney.
Survivors include his wife of forty-seven years, Jo Ann Allmon Lott of Seminary; two sons, Clayton A. Lott, Sr., and his wife, Mary Ann of Dayton, Texas, and Dr. Larry W. Pilcher, Sr., and his wife, Heather of Ellisville; a daughter-in-law, Mona Lott of Houston, Texas; fifteen grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
