Hoyt Lavon Anderson

(December 29, 1959 – February 27, 2021)

Graveside funeral service will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, March 3, 2021, at Bullock Cemetery in Sanford, Mississippi for Hoyt Lavon Anderson, 61 of Seminary, who passed away on Saturday, February 27, 2021 at Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.

Reverend Milton Williams will officiate at the services with interment to follow at Bullock Cemetery in Sanford, Mississippi.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins, Mississippi will be in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Paul Anderson, Ricky Anderson, Levi Gondreau, Timmy Anderson, Phillip Anderson, and Jason Taormina.

Mr. Hoyt was born on December 29, 1959, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and friend.  He enjoyed driving his tractor, working in the garden, hunting, fishing, and painting.  He will be greatly missed by his loving family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Robert L. Anderson and Lucille Campbell Anderson; and two sisters, Sheila Jones and Regina Anderson.

Survivors include his loving wife of thirty-eight years, MaryAnn Boleware Anderson of Seminary; two sons, Justin Lavon Anderson and wife, Kuristien of Seminary, and Jeffery Dewayne Anderson and wife, Alaina of Hattiesburg; four grandchildren, Ashton and Amelia Anderson of Hattiesburg, and Shianne and Bentley Anderson of Seminary; five brothers; Tim Anderson (Helen) of Brookhaven, Lowell Anderson (Hilda) and Liddel Anderson, both of Purvis, Phillip Anderson (Brenda) and Ricky Anderson, both of Seminary  and four sisters, Renee Pearce and Elise Aycock (William), both of Purvis, Janet Wilson (Murphy) and Paulette Boleware (Terry), both of Seminary; and a host of other family members and friends.
