Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, June 29, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Ida Jane Ishee Speed, 86 of Collins, who passed away on Monday, June 24, 2019 at her residence.

Dr. Dorman Laird and Dr. Brett Golson will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Leaf River Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins.  Special music will be provided by Mrs. Ann Rogers and Mr. Kevin Polk.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. on Friday, June 28, 2019 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.

Pallbearers will be Zay Speed, Tracy Knotts, Tyler Taormina, Lee Taormina, Dwayne Thornton, Johnny Wright, and J.T. Wright.  Honorary pallbearers will be John Rogers and Roger Quick.

Mrs. Speed was born on April 9, 1933 in Laurel, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, sister, and aunt.  Mrs. Speed worked as a secretary at Green Oil Company for numerous years.  She was a member of the Leaf River Baptist Church.

She was preceded in death by her husband of sixty-three years, Bynum Speed; her parents, Amos and Katie Walley Ishee; and three sisters, Beatrice Buckelew, Lou Alice Bush, and Lyda Rae Freeman.

Survivors include one sister, Alice Knotts, and her husband, Bobby of Laurel; one brother-in-law, Wilford Speed Sr., and his wife, Frances of Collins; two sisters-in-law, Peggy Thornton, and her husband, Howard of Pearl and Flora Downs, and her husband,  Jack of Nicholasville, Kentucky; and a host of nieces, nephews, and great nieces and nephews.
