Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2020 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Infant Myles Jaxson Jones, two months old, of Collins, who passed away on Saturday, February 29, 2020 at the Children's Hospital and Medical Center in Omaha, Nebraska.
Reverend Tim Beard and Dr. Steve McDonald will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Bethel United Methodist Church Cemetery in Collins. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Friday, March 6, 2020 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.
Pallbearers will be Charlie Sokovich, Arnold Bullman, Steve Robinson, and Michael Perry. Honorary pallbearers will be Meagan Knight Harvey, and the HENS, Tira Sokovich, Rachelle Wade, April Klug, Karri Barr, Amy Duke, Melissa Pardew, Rhonda Morrow, Amy Evans, and Kerry Perry.
This soldier has touched the lives of so many in such short period of time as we have followed his triumphant journey. He has brought new meaning to the words, "Not Alone" as he carried the cross for Christ. With the love and support from so many who came together and rallied on his behalf. His testimony will live on forever, and in our hearts.
He was preceded in death by his paternal grandmother, Joyce Jones; his aunt, Jacqueline Jones; maternal great-grandparents, Clark and Nancy Jo Knight and Latrell and Lula Mae Sanford; and paternal great-grandparents, C.E. and Jacqueline Jones and Earl and Estelle Davis.
Survivors include his devoted and loving parents, Jessie and Stephanie Sanford Jones of Collins; one sister, Shelby Jones of Petal; one brother, Caden Jones of Ellisville; maternal grandparents, Rayford and Sylvia Sanford of Collins; paternal grandparents, Jimmy and Dorothy Jones of Seminary; a nephew, Oakley Debrow of Petal; a niece, Cypress Debrow of Petal; his aunts and uncles, Debbie and Jeff Tackett of Byram, Kathy and Billy Knight of Collins, Michael and Kerry Perry of Purvis, and Teresa and Steve Robinson of Ellisville; and a host of special cousins and other family members.
The family requests that in lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to the Bethel United Methodist Church, Attention: Charlie Sokovich, 236 Monroe Road, Collins, Mississippi, 39428.
