James Andrew Holifield Jr.

(July 3, 1973 – June 4, 2020)

Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Friday, June 12, 2020 at the Calvary Baptist Church in Seminary for James Andrew Holifield Jr., 46 of Seminary, who passed away on Thursday, June 4, 2020 in Collins, Mississippi.

Reverend Glenn Shoemaker will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Sylvest Cemetery in Marion County.  Special music will be provided by Dr. Shelley Shoemake.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 9:30 a.m. until 10:30 a.m. at the Calvary Baptist Church on 1205 MS-Highway 590 in Seminary.

Pallbearers will be family members and friends.

Mr. Holifield was born on July 3, 1973 in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.  He was a loving son, father, grandfather, and brother.  Mr. Holifield worked as a manager in the food service industry.  He was a Christian and a member of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his father, James Andrew Holifield, Sr.; his maternal grandparents, Francis Willie Huffman and Dorothy Mae Burgess Huffman; his paternal grandparents, Lomax Holifield Sr. and Mary Louise Goff Holifield; and several aunts and uncles.

Survivors include his mother and step father, Mary Christine Holifield Aultman , and Danny Aultman, both of Seminary; one son, Nathan Andrew Holifield of Seminary; three daughters, Amber Kay Finnely of Little Rock, Arkansas, Sara Alexis Holifield and Kalista Grace Holifield, both of Seminary; one grandson, Landon Finnely of Little Rock, Arkansas; three brothers, Jonathan Earle Holifield and Joseph Stephen Holifield, both of Seminary and Francis Willie Holifield, and his wife, Savannah of Mount Olive; one sister, Mary Danielle Aultman Dunn, and her husband, Bradley of Hattiesburg; three nieces, Maria Nevaeh Evolet Dunn of Hattiesburg, Angelia Nicole Holifield, and Mary Grace Holifield, both of Seminary; and a host of other family members and friends.
