James Leroy Brunton

(June 3, 1938 – May 2, 2021)

Graveside services will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at the Lone Star Cemetery in Collins for James Leroy Brunton, 82 of Collins, who passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Collins.

Reverend Danny Adams will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Lone Star Cemetery in Collins with military rites at graveside.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Pallbearers will be members of the United States Air Force.

Mr. Brunton was born on June 3, 1938 in Columbus, Ohio to Bert and Elsa Marie Bush Brunton.  He earned a Bachelor's degree from Wittenberg University in Springhill, Ohio and a Master's degree from Central Michigan University in Mt. Pleasant, Michigan.  Mr. Brunton then proudly served his country in the United States Air Force for over twenty years before his retirement.  He was a member of the Lone Star Baptist Church in Collins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Bert and Elsa Marie Bush Brunton.

Survivors include his close friends, and caretakers, Joel and Heather Wilson and Woodie and Thea Wilson, all of Collins.
