Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2020 at the Liberty Baptist Church in Collins for James Reggie Farmer, 66 of Collins, who passed away on Saturday, June 27, 2020 at his residence.
Reverend Steve Miller will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Rebecca Miller. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. on Friday, July 3, 2020 at the Liberty Baptist Church in Collins.
Pallbearers will be Brandon Farmer, Mike Ainsworth, Danny Baldwin, Wayne McLaurin, Johnny Ray McDonald, and Jimmy Randall. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Ainsworth, Daniel Ainsworth, Cole Ainsworth, Layne McLaurin, Ronnie Baldwin, and Carl Mann.
Mr. Farmer was born on January 15, 1954 in Collins, Mississippi. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, and brother. Mr. Farmer was employed by the Okatoma Golf Course in Collins as their groundskeeper. He loved the outdoors, and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Mr. Farmer was a member of the Williamsburg Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his father, James Rayford Farmer.
Survivors include one son, Brandon Farmer of Collins; one daughter, Dana Cooley, and her husband, Matthew of Laurel; his mother and step father, Earline Mooney Holland and Marvin Holland; two grandchildren, Sophia Carter and Jackson Cooley; one brother, Eddie Farmer of Collins; two sisters, Gail Farmer Mayfield, and her husband, Barry, and Kathy Farmer Thornton, all of Collins; and a host of nieces and nephews.
