James Edward Ivy

(February 5, 1957 – July 31, 2024)

Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 24, 2024, at his residence, 966 Highway 590 East in Seminary for James Edward Ivy, 67 of Seminary, who passed away on Wednesday, July 31, 2024, at his residence.

Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Mr. Ivy was born on February 5, 1957, in New Orleans, Louisiana to William Ivy and Nelda Dugas Ivy.  He was the retired owner and operator of a retail store, gas station, and a towing service.  Mr. Ivy proudly served his country in the National Guard.  He was a member of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William Ivy and Nelda Dugas Ivy.

Survivors include his friend and caretaker, Ernest McInnis of Collins, and numerous other friends.
