Obituary

Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m., on Sunday, November 11, 2012 at the Collins Presbyterian Church for Mr. James T. "Jim" Crane, 93, of Collins who passed away on Friday, November 9, 2012 at the Covington County Hospital.

Reverend Norman Bagby and Reverend Dewitt Bain will officiate at the services with interment to follow at the Shiloh Baptist Church Cemetery in Mount Olive. Music will be provided by Cindy Shields, Barbara Brister, and Amy Pruitt. Billy M. King Colonial Chapel Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Pallbearers will be Wallace Allred, Larry McDonald, Chris Newman, Burt Hughes, Danny Bryant, Tommy Bryant, Roger Sullivan, and Chase Lee. Honorary pallbearers are Carlton McRaney, Billy Stephens, Jimmy Dale Lee, and the Elders of the Collins Presbyterian Church.

Mr. Crane was a retired chemist from the American Chain and Cable Company. He was a member of the Collins Presbyterian Church where he served on numerous committees and also as a Elder of the church for many years. Mr. Crane proudly served his country in the United States Army during World War II.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Howard W. Crane and Belle Taylor Crane; and his beloved wife, Billie Bryant Crane.

Survivors include his special friends, Wallace and Joanne Allred and Dana and Jimmy Dale Lee, all of Collins.

Visitation will be held on Sunday, November 11, 2012 from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. at the Collins Presbyterian Church. Family and friends may sign an online guest book at www.billymkingcolonialchapel.com
