Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, October 31, 2021 at the Ora Cemetery in Collins for James L. "Man" Ivy, 53 of Sumrall, who passed away on Thursday, October 28, 2021 at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg.
Brother Michael Hollingsworth will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Ora Cemetery in Collins. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Pallbearers will be Howard Blanks, Mitchell Hollingsworth, John "Hoss" Brady, Cameron Walker, John Hosey, and Jimmy Morgan. Honorary pallbearer will be Oscar Hosey.
Mr. Ivy was born on December 2, 1967 in Marrero, Louisiana to James L. Ivy, Sr. and Kathryn Haas Ivy. He was a welder by trade until his health declined due to a motorcycle accident in 2007. Mr. Ivy was a member of the Baptist faith.
He was preceded in death by his father, James L. Ivy Sr., and his daughter, Dorenah Ivy Rawlings.
Survivors include his wife of twenty-nine years, Tammy Wilson Ivy of Sumrall; his mother, Katherine Haas Ivy of Seminary; four children, Tamara Eubanks of Monticello, Jennifer Ivy of Columbia, Tayla Eubanks of Bassfield, and James Ivy, III of Columbia; nine grandchildren; five siblings, Dorene Ivy-Smith of Collins, Andrew Ivy of Bay St. Louis, Karl Ivy of Laurel, Jamie Ivy of Ovett, and Brandon Atwood of Seminary; and a host of nieces and nephews.
