Obituary

James Howard (Windy) Windham August 15, 1942 to December 31, 2020 Petal MS. James Howard was a proud Vietnam veteran. He was the youngest tugboat captain for Edwards Transportation before his service and worked as a diesel mechanic for them after his service until he found his true calling as a flatbed truck driver. He drove for Deaton for many years before settling with Buddy Moore Trucking. He was a friend to all and always extended a helping hand.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Zellie Windham, 3 sisters, 4 brothers and his wife Janice.

He is survived by his wife Penny, his sons, Billy Joe Windham of Gulfport, Robert Lee Windham of Seminary, his daughters, Steffani Jones and Marquessa Taylor both of Petal, 9 grandchildren, 6 great-grandchildren, sister, Linda Ponder, daughters-in-law, Joy Windham and Michelle Pope, and a very special nephew, Mike Windham of Seminary.

Pallbearers will be Eric Windham, Jason Windham, Cameron Windham, Alexander Collier, Jeremy Wilson, Steven Smith and Mike Windham.

Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Monday, January  4, 2021 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, Collins, MS 39428.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, January 5, 2021 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.
