A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at a later date for Janie Vela Culver, 78 of Collins, who passed away on Friday, October 23, 2020 at the Covington County Hospital in Collins.

Interment will be at a later date in the Elliot-Hamil Garden of Memories Cemetery in Abilene, Texas.   Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Culver was born on August 9, 1942 in Tulsa, Oklahoma.  She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister.  Mrs. Culver was a homemaker by trade.  She was a member of the Baptist Faith.  Mrs. Culver loved spending time with her family and friends.  She will be greatly missed by all that knew her.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Vela Loya; her husband, John Otis Culver; and seventeen siblings.

Survivors include two daughters, Tina Reid, and her husband, Clarence of Collins, and Kathy Chapman, and her husband, Harold of Abilene, Texas; one son, Raymond Otis Culver, Sr., and his wife, Delores of Abilene, Texas; one sister, Christina Dunn of Abilene, Texas; thirteen grandchildren; thirty great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
