Jasper Dillard Clark
(December 31, 1938 – May 18, 2020)
Jasper Dillard Clark, 81 of Mount Olive, passed away on Monday, May 18, 2020, at the Covington County Hospital in Collins. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Mr. Clark had been a high school teacher, principal, basketball coach and lastly the owner of Affordable Insurance Agency in Collins, MS. He was an active member of Shiloh Baptist Church where he was a deacon and gave devotionals regularly. He taught Sunday school for many years to various ages; most recently the older adults.
He loved being a part of his church, working outside with his tractor, picking at people and making them laugh, and going out to eat. He was a foundation for his wife, Polly, and had an unconditional love for his daughter Stephanie, and his son, Steve. His persistent love for his granddaughter Lauren, occupied his mind; no matter if it was a visit, a call, or a text, he cherished whatever opportunity he had to connect with her.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley Lawrence and Pauline Clark. Survivors include his loving wife, Polly Clark of Mount Olive; one son, Steve Clark of Mt. Olive; one daughter, Stephanie Ann Gronbeck of Arizona; one granddaughter, Lauren Emily Gronbeck; and a host of other family members.
A memorial service will be planned for a later date and announced in the newspaper.
