He volunteered as a driver for Meals on Wheels, Gleaners and the International Ballet Competition.
He is survived by his wife, Roanoke Campbell McDonald; sons, Boty (Cristy) McDonald of Madison, MS, and Bryan (Jackie) McDonald of Ridgeland, MS; Grandchildren, Savannah (A.J.) Selvaggio of Washington DC, Jaclyn McDonald of Nashville, TN, Drew McDonald of Madison, MS, Matt (Ashley Anne) McDonald of Jackson, MS, and Laura Beth (Dakota) Moorefield of Springfield, VA; and Great Grandchildren, Lilla McDonald and Isla Grace Moorefield.
