Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Jennifer "Kay" Moore King, 76 of Laurel, who passed away on Tuesday, August 17, 2021 at the Comfort Care Nursing Home in Laurel.
Brother Tom Cheeks will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Deen Cemetery in Bassfield. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, August 22, 2021 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3302 Highway 49, Collins, MS 39428.
Pallbearers will be Matthew Mauldin, Larry King, Chris King, Steven King, Stanley King, and Joshua Daley. Honorary pallbearers will be Adam Mauldin and Patrick King.
Mrs. King was born on August 6, 1945 in Laurel, Mississippi to Lloyd Lavon Moore and Dovie Elvira Goss Moore. She was one of eight children. Mrs. King was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. She was a seamstress and then worked as a personal caretaker until her retirement. Mrs. King was a member of the Park Haven Baptist Church in Laurel.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Larry Kendall King; her parents, Lloyd Lavon Moore and Dovie Elvira Goss Moore; four sisters, Barbara May, Dorothy Howell, Janet Puckett, and Deborah Russell; and two brothers, Stanley Moore and Kenneth Moore.
Survivors include two sons, Kendall King, and his wife, Melanie of Collins and Mike King, and his wife, Patricia of Ovett; two daughters, Annette Mauldin, and her husband, John of Seminary and Jeannette Graham, and her husband, Terry of Richton; eleven grandchildren; twenty great-grandchildren; one brother, Mickey Moore of Mendenhall; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
