Mr. Jerry was born on March 6, 1940, in Covington County, Mississippi, to Lavelle and Elizabeth Stuckey. A graduate of Mount Olive High School and Jones Junior College, he worked for thirty-six years as a serviceman for the Magee office of Willmut Gas and Oil Company. He is remembered as a man of few words and utmost humility, and he was the epitome of Christlikeness. He was a faithful member, deacon, former song director, and servant of Grace Fellowship Baptist Church. A loving, caring, and devoted husband, father, "Papaw", and friend, he will be sorely missed by his family, friends, and community.
He was preceded in death by his father, Lavelle Stuckey; mother, Sarah Elizabeth Gentry Stuckey; brother, Larry Stuckey; and an infant sister.
Survivors include his wife of nearly fifty years, Joyce Easterling Stuckey of Collins; children, Tammy Stuckey of Hebron, Mississippi, and Lynn Reeves (Stacey), Rita Black (Robbie), and Christopher Stuckey, all of Collins; grandchildren, Brennon, Bronson, Malachi, and Dakota Thornton, Timothy, Hilary, Alana, and Dylan Reeves, Hannah, Samuel, and Madelyn Howell, and Jeremy, Sabrina, Cariana, and Mary-Alice Stuckey; 32 great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.
