Jessie Walker Gieger
(June 26, 1940 – September 13, 2025)

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at the Sanford Missionary Baptist Church in Seminary for Jessie Walker Gieger, 85 of Collins, who passed away on Saturday, September 13, 2025, at the Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Brother Clay Williamson and Brother Joe Lott will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Gieger Family Cemetery, 399 Mitchell Road in Collins. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive guests from 9:00 am until 11:00 am on Tuesday, September 16, 2025, at the Sanford Missionary Baptist Church, 600 Old Hwy 49, Seminary, Mississippi.
Pallbearers will be Mike Walker, Mark Walker, Stephen Gieger, Jacob Gieger, Landon Gieger, and McKinley Gieger.
Jessie was a faithful Christian man, a devoted husband and loving father. He spent most of his life as a farmer, where he found much joy on his tractor taking care of his land. More affectionately known as "Pop", by his grandchildren, he will always be remembered for his smile and boisterous laughter during his storytelling. His love, gentleness, and kindness will bless us forever.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Wiley Gieger and  Edith Walker Gieger.
Survivors include his wife of 63 years, Glenda Rae Riels Gieger of Collins; two sons, Steve Gieger (Julie) of Hattiesburg and Stan Gieger (Tracy) of Hattiesburg; one brother, Wilford Gieger (Jane) of Ocean Springs; five grandchildren; Stephen Gieger (Jana) of Hattiesburg, Jacob Gieger, Anna Grace Gieger, Landon Gieger and McKinley Gieger.
