Jim Kimble “Kim” Knight

(August 7, 1965 – August 12, 2026)

Funeral services will be held at 1:30 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Jim Kimble “Kim” Knight, 61 of Seminary, who passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 12, 2026, at his residence.

Reverend Jack Andrews will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive friends from 12:00 noon until 1;30 p.m. on Sunday, August 16, 2026, at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Highway 49, Collins, Mississippi, 39428.

His pallbearers will be Rebel Knight, Matthew Quick, John Waters, Ace Stewart, Myles Lowery, Logan Waters, and Blaten Jones.

Mr. Knight was born on August 7, 1965, in Hattiesburg, Mississippi to Talmage J. Knight, Sr. and Fannie Lou Shows Knight. He graduated high school and earned a bachelor’s degree in criminal justice with a minor in English from the University of Southern Mississippi. Mr. Knight was a member of the Baptist faith. He was a loving son, father, grandfather, and brother, and will be dearly missed by his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Fannie Lou Shows Knight; and two brothers, Howard David Knight and Talmage Joe Knight Jr.

Survivors include his father, Talmage J. Knight, Sr. of Seminary; two sons, Rebel Knight of Seminary and Destin Knight (Bridget) of Gulfport; two sisters, Georgia Knight Trigg (Timothy) of Collins, and Melinda Knight Sexton (Logan) of Seminary; two brothers, James Edward “Eddie” Knight (Linda) of Seminary and Phillip Gordon Knight of Seminary; five grandchildren, Matthew Knight, Easton Knight, Joseph Knight, Elijah Knight, and Laura Lee Knight; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
