A Celebration of Life Memorial Service will be held at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Bassfield at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, June 9, 2020 for Jimmie Ruth Robbins, 94 of Bassfield, who passed away on Friday, June 5, 2020 at the Arrington Living Center in Collins.
Brother Donnie Broom will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Ebenezer Baptist Church Cemetery in Bassfield. Special music will be provided by Mr. Trenton Williamson. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Bassfield.
Mrs. Robbins was born on May 16, 1926 in Railroad Camp, Mississippi. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and sister. Mrs. Robbins was a homemaker. She was a longtime member of the Ebenezer Baptist Church in Bassfield.
She was preceded in death by her loving husband of fifty-eight years, Louis D. Robbins; one son, Jimmy Louis Robbins; her parents, Jimmy and Zora Gaddis Davis; and twelve siblings.
Survivors include one son, William E. "Bill" Robbins and his wife, Mary of Madison; one daughter, Linda Sue Broom of Sumrall; one brother, John Davis of Houston, Texas; ten grandchildren; eighteen great-grandchildren; and a host of nieces and nephews.
