Jimmie Georgie Kelly

(October 24, 1936 – July 28, 2022)

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022, at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Jimmie Georgie Kelly, 85, of Seminary, who passed away Thursday, July 28, 2022, at her residence in Seminary.

Rev. Barry Armstrong will officiate the services with interment to follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 10:00 a.m. on Monday, August 1, 2022, at Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3302 Hwy 49, Collins, Mississippi.

Pallbearers will be Steven Mapp, Blake Rogers, Tristan Mapp, Brandon Hegwood, Chris Brown, Bill Brunson, and William Rogers.

Mrs. Kelly worked for many years at Murry Envelope in Hattiesburg. She was a faithful member of Union Baptist Church in Seminary. She was a very family-oriented person, and she loved worshiping the Lord together with her family. She deeply loved and cared for each of her friends and family members, and she will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy A. Kelly; father, Frank Atwood; mother, Francis Thurman Tuggle; and a sister, Virginia Thurman.

Survivors include her children, Billy Earl Kelly of New Orleans, LA and Tommy Randy Kelly of Petal, MS, and Angie Kelly Rogers (William) of Seminary, MS; five grandchildren; twelve great-grandchildren; one nephew; and two nieces.
