Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church in Mount Olive for Jimmy Dale "Butch" Lee, Jr., 61 of Collins, who passed away on Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at the Forrest General Hospital in Hattiesburg, Mississippi.
Brother Michael Miller Jr. will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church Cemetery in Mount Olive. Special music will be provided by Mark Young and Drew Young. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
The family will receive guests from 9:00 am until 12:00 pm on Friday, May 2, 2025, at the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church, 795 Highway 532, Mount Olive, Mississippi.
Pallbearers will be Chuck Lee, Chris Lee, David Sullivan, Rogie Sullivan, Steve Duty, and Benji McQueen. Honorary pallbearers will be Barry Conkel, Kevin Rogers, and Cody Rogers.
Butch was born on December 13, 1963, in Collins, Mississippi to Jimmy Dale Sr. and Dana Rogers Lee. He was a graduate of Woodlawn High School in Baton Rouge, Louisiana Class of 1981. Butch earned a Bachelors' Degree in Industrial Engineering from Louisiana State University. He retired as the Gulf Coast District Leader for Colonial Pipeline. Butch was a member of the Shiloh Missionary Baptist Church. He was a die-hard Louisiana State University fan and enjoyed attending all their sporting events. Butch was a devoted son, husband, father, and Pop Pop. He enjoyed spending time with his family and will be greatly missed by them all.
He was preceded in death by his father, Jimmy Dale Lee, Sr..
Survivors include his wife, Benita Cagle Lee of Collins, two sons, Chase Lee (Bailey) and Cory Lee (Haylee), all of Collins; his mother, Dana Rogers Lee of Collins; one granddaughter, Stormi Ann James of Collins and an expected granddaughter, Lucy Beth Lee; and a host of other family members and friends.
