Jimmy David Williamson

(March 7, 1951 – December 13, 2023)

Funeral services will be held at 12:30 pm on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the Willow Grove Baptist Church in Collins for Jimmy David Williamson, 72 of Seminary, who passed away on Wednesday, December 13, 2023 at his residence.

Brother Lee Faler and Brother Clay Ingram will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Willow Grove Baptist Church Cemetery in Collins.  Special music will be provided by Mrs. Julia Rae Harbour, Mrs. Angel Eaton, and Mr. Bob Thames.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 10:30 am until 12:30 pm on Saturday, December 16, 2023 at the Willow Grove Baptist Church, 979 Willow Grove Church Road, Collins, Mississippi, 39428.

Pallbearers will be William Crosby, David Eaton, Darrell Baker, Mark Mauldin, Jeremy Gingrich, Dale Gingrich, Trenton Crosby, and Chris Gingrich.

Mr. Williamson was born on March 7, 1951 in Covington County, Mississippi to William David "Billie"  Williamson and Lela Yawn Williamson.  He retired from the Construction Industry after thirty plus years of service as a Construction worker.  Mr. Williamson was a loving and devoted husband, father, and grandfather.  He loved his family very much and will be greatly missed by them.  He was a member of the Willow Grove Baptist Church in Collins.

He was preceded in death by his parents, William David "Billie" Williamson and Lela Yawn Williamson; three brothers, Vernon Williamson, George Williamson, Edward Williamson; and three sisters, Annie Maw Williamson Duckworth, Elna Williamson Baker, and Barbara Williamson Carter.

Survivors include his wife of forty-six years, Phyllis Elsie Crosby Williamson of Seminary; two daughters, Misty Marie Williamson Harper of Seminary, and Felicia Williamson Mauldin (Justin) of Bogue Chitto; six grandchildren, Ada Harper, Lela Mauldin, Brayden Harper, Arsen Sullivan, Branch Mauldin, and Emery Sullivan; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
