Funeral services will be held at 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Joe Terrell Rogers, 85, of Petal, who passed away on Saturday, September 30, 2023 at the Asbury Hospice House in Hattiesburg, MS.
Reverend Thomas Graves will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Eminence United Methodist Church Cemetery in Seminary. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 2:00 pm on Tuesday, October 3, 2023 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3302 Hwy 49, Collins, Mississippi.
Pallbearers will be Brett Morrow, Conner Morrow, David Bullock, Donald Bullock Jr., Seth Partridge, Glenn Sanford. Honorary Pallbearers will be Jacob Bookout, William Powell.
Joe was a 32nd degree Mason and a member of the Shriners and Scottish Rite. He was a member of Petal Presbyterian Church. He was married to his childhood sweetheart, Margaret, for sixty-seven years. Joe was a retired long distance truckdriver for sixty plus years. Joe was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and great grandfather and he will be truly missed by all who knew him.
He was preceded in death by his daughter, Marti Jo Rogers; his parents, W.B. Rogers and Allie Valentine Rogers; brothers, Fred Rogers and Billy Rogers.
Survivors include his wife, Margaret Williamson Rogers; daughters, Vickie Rogers of Petal, MS, Lisa Rogers of Petal, Kellie Rogers Graves (Thomas) of Edwards, MS; sister, Kathryn Rogers Bullock of Seminary. Five grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews and other family members.
