Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for John Thomas "Johnny" Graves, 65 of Gulfport, who passed away on Thursday, November 9, 2017 at the Garden Park Hospital in Gulfport.
Reverend Glenn Shoemake will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Evergreen Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Anita Humphrey. Billy M, King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until 1:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 15, 2017 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3302 Highway 49, Collins, Mississippi, 39428.
Pallbearers will be Tony Casanave, Peter Casanave, Joshua Engle, Bill Kramer, David Humphrey, and Stacy Humphrey.
Mr. Graves was born on May 23, 1952 in Jackson, Mississippi. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Mr. Graves retired after numerous years of service as a Registered Nurse at the Veterans Hospital in Gulfport. He proudly served his country in the United States Navy. Mr. Graves was a member of the Evergreen Baptist Church in Seminary.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John C. Graves and Tanis Elizabeth Hill Graves.
Survivors include his wife of thirty-three years, Phyllis Folse Graves of Gulfport; two step sons, Tony Casanave of Moss Point, and Peter Casanave, and his wife, Christianna of Cedar Park, Texas; one step daughter, Gretchen Therese Casanave Eisenberg, and her husband, Elon of Frederick, Maryland; one sister, Betty Graves Parks, and her husband Jim of Clinton; ten grandchildren, Emma Campos, Meghan Casanave, Lauren Casanave, Jonathan Casanave, Joshua Engle, Beth Engle, Caleb Engle, Abby Engle, Sophie Engle, and Shana Eisenberg; one niece, Kathy Parks Storm; and one nephew, Bill Parks.
