Funeral services will be held at 10:00 a.m. on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Lebanon Baptist Church in Seminary for John Edward Harrell, 75 of Seminary, who passed away on Tuesday, October 11, 2016 at his sister's residence.
Reverend Justin Corley will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Lebanon Baptist Church Cemetery. Special music will be provided by Mrs. Kelli Corley. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.
Visitation will be held from 9:00 a.m. until service time on Thursday, October 13, 2016 at the Lebanon Baptist Church in Seminary.
Pallbearers will be Steven Eberhardt, C.J. Sellers, Michael Milnick, Dustin Underwood, Matt Runnel, and John Icklone.
Mr. Harrell was born on November 19, 1940 in Wilmington, North Carolina. He was retired from the trucking industry after years of service in numerous capacities as truck driver, dispatcher, terminal manager, and safety director. Mr. Harrell was a member of the Lebanon Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Eugene B. and Evelyn Hunt Harrell; his wife, Dawn Stevens Harrell; two daughters, Erica Harrell Craft, and Janet E. Harrell; two sisters, Mary Shriver and Dorothy Davis; and one brother, Milton Harrell.
Survivors include one son, Mark Eberhardt of Seminary; one daughter, Tina L. Harrell of Seattle, Washington; two sisters, Bobbie Lilly of Ivanho, North Carolina and Gladys Underwood of Seminary; one brother, David Harrell of Atkinson, North Carolina; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; and a host of special nieces, and nephews.
