John Olon Norris
(May 26, 1935 – October 12, 2022)

Funeral services will be held at 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at the Union South Baptist Church in Seminary for John Olon Norris, 87 of Seminary, who passed away on Wednesday, October 12, 2022 at his son's residence in Madison, Mississippi.

Dr. Barry Armstrong will officiate the services with interment to follow in the Union South Baptist Church Cemetery in Seminary. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 pm until 3:00 pm on Sunday, October 16, 2022 at the Union South Baptist Church, 91 Union Church Road, Seminary, Mississippi, 39479.

Pallbearers will be Sidney Davis,, Larry Butler, Rufus Trigg, Richard Woolwine, Todd Brazna, and Cliff Norris. Honorary pallbearer will be Bill Brunson.

Mr. Norris was born on May 26, 1935 in Seminary, Mississippi, He was a loving father, grandfather, and brother. Mr. Norris worked for numerous years as a welder before his retirement. He was a member of the Union South Baptist Church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie Clifton Norris and Zadie Maschew Norris; three brothers, Charles Ralph Norris, Donnie Clifton Norris, and Gerald Dawson Norris; and two sisters, Adlee Norris Dolan, and Carolyn Norris Bardwell.

Survivors include one son, Mike Norris of Madison; two daughters, Pamela Norris Wells (Terrell) of Denham Springs, Louisiana, and Jeanna Norris Frye (Boyce) of Columbus; one brother, Terry Joe Norris of Hattiesburg; one sister, Bobbie Norris Brazna of Cleveland, Tennessee; six grandchildren, Justin Frye, Joanna Frye, Clifton Wells, Connor Wells, Caden Wells, and Hannah Grace Wells; three great-grandchildren, Colden Frye, Temple Frye, and Apphia Frye; and a host of nieces and nephews.
