Funeral services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins for Johnny Steve Smith, 63 of Prairieville, Louisiana, who passed away on Wednesday, February 3, 2021 at his residence.

Brother Tim Saucier will officiate at the services.  A private family interment will be held at a later date.  Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 1:00 p.m. until 3:00 p.m. on Saturday, February 6, 2021 at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins.

Mr. Smith was born on October 22, 1957 in Seminary, Mississippi to Barney Williams Smith and Connie Bell Williams Smith.  He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.  Mr. Smith retired from the construction industry after forty-five plus years of service.  He was a member of the Baptist faith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney William Smith and Connie Bell Williams Smith; and one brother, Billy Smith.

Survivors include his wife of seven years, Christine Shander Smith of Prairieville, Louisiana;  six children, Stephanie Smith Cooper (Thomas) of Richton, Shawn Smith (Brittany) of Seminary, Jade Smith  of Mize, Scott Smith (Recinda) of Seminary, Chase Smith (Lauren) of Hattiesburg, and Sabrina Smith of Burlington, North Carolina; fourteen grandchildren; one great-grandchild; five sisters, Kathleen Jackson and Janie Rowell, both of Seminary, Carolyn Williams of Laurel, Margaret Mundell of Baton Rouge, Louisiana, and Sue Hartfield of Petal; one brother, Barney Smith of Punta, Gorde, Florida; and a host of nieces and nephews.
