Jonathan Lane Anderson

(February 5, 1986 – August 17, 2023)

Funeral services will be held at 10:00 am on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Union Baptist Church in Seminary for Jonathan Lane Anderson, 37, of Seminary, who passed away on Thursday, August 17, 2023, at Merit Health Wesley in Hattiesburg.

Dr. Barry Armstrong will officiate the service with interment to follow in the Union Baptist Church Cemetery. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Visitation will be held from 9:00 am until 10:00 am on Saturday, August 19, 2023, at Union Baptist Church, 97 Union Church Road, Seminary, Mississippi.

Pallbearers will be Justin Anderson, Jeffrey Anderson, Ricky Anderson, Eli Wann, Dalton Wann, and Paul Anderson. Leslie Anderson will be an honorary pallbearer.

Lane was born on February 5, 1986, in Collins, Mississippi, to Phillip and Brenda Anderson. A lifelong resident of Seminary and 2004 graduate of Seminary High School, Lane found enjoyment in hunting, fishing, working on his truck, and serving with the Moselle Volunteer Fire Department. He was a loving father, son, brother, and friend, and he will be dearly missed by his family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his son, Levi Anderson.

Survivors include his son, Jacob Anderson of Petal; parents, Phillip and Brenda Gandy Anderson of Seminary; brothers, Phillip Leslie Anderson, Jr. of Seminary and Paul Anderson (Sara) of Laurel; and many extended family members and friends.
