Mr. Ishee worked in the mortgage banking and financing industry for numerous years in the greater Dallas area. He moved back to this area and went to work as an elementary teacher at the Mount Olive Schools until his retirement. He had a special way with the children, settling things with humor instead of discipline. Mr. Ishee enjoyed playing the drums, and was a member of the band, "Shiloh" for several years. He was a member of the Rock Hill Baptist Church in Mount Olive. Mr. Ishee was a loving husband, father, and grandfather and will be dearly missed by all his family.
He was preceded in death by parents, Tempson Bernell Ishee and Ina Faye Norris Ishee; a son, Taylor Ishee; and two sisters, Faye Nell Ishee Magee and Christy Lynn Ishee.
Survivors include his wife of four years, Jo Ann Landau Todd-Ishee of Mount Olive; one daughter, Nicole Ishee, of Frisco, Texas; one stepson, Brandon Todd (Ashley) of Mount Olive; two step-grandchildren, Evie Todd and Charlie Todd; his aunt, Evelyn Kinstley of Jackson; a brother-in-law, Carl Magee of Mount Olive; and a host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.
