Joshua Peyton Harris

Funeral Services will be held at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel of Collins on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. for Joshua Peyton Harris, 22, of Meridian, who passed away on Thursday, December 5, 2024, at his residence in Meridian, Mississippi.

Reverend Ron Alexander will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Collins City Cemetery. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

The family will receive guests from 1:00 p.m. until 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, December 8, 2024, at the Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home, 3202 Highway 49 Collins, Mississippi.

Mr. Harris was born on April 30, 2002, in Laurel, Mississippi to Timothy and Velma Roberts Harris. He was a graduate of the Mount Olive High School Class of 2020. Mr. Harris was a member of the Baptist faith. He was a loving son, brother, and grandson, and will be greatly missed by his family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Velma Roberts Harris; his half-sister, Alycia Williams; and his paternal grandfather, Russell Harris.

Survivors include his father, Timothy Harris (Liting) of Allen, Texas; three sisters, Stephanie Lynn Harris Cain of Eight Mile, Alabama, Jennifer Harris Washington (Bobby) of Pearl, and Jamie Sumrall Brady (Bobby) of Laurel; and his paternal grandmother, Martha Hodge Harris of Poplarville; and a host of other family members and friends.
