Graveside services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 7, 2017 at the Collins City Cemetery for Joyce King Collins, 82 of Collins, who passed away on Friday, May 5, 2017 at the Wesley Merit Health System in Hattiesburg.

Reverend David Shumaker and Reverend Timothy Beard will officiate at the services with interment to follow in the Collins City Cemetery. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Collins was born on May 4, 1935 in Moundville, Alabama. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and homemaker. Mrs. Collins was the accounts manager for the family business, The Collins Greenhouses. She was a member of the Collins United Methodist Church.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur and Omie Russell King; one sister, Doris King Cooper; and three brothers, Dennis King, Donald King, and Doren King.

Survivors include her husband, Harlan Collins of Collins; one daughter, Donna Jo Collins of Collins; one son, Barry A. Collins, and his wife, Bernadette of Collins; one sister, Elizabeth King Evans of Birmingham, Alabama; two grandchildren, Liam Harlan Collins, and Erin Regan Collins; and a host of nieces, nephews, and other family members.
