Joyce Elaine Poss

(April 28, 1933 – May 24, 2023)

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, June 3, 2023 at 10:00 am at Saint Elizabeth's Episcopal Church for Joyce Elaine Poss, 90 of Collins, MS who passed away on Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at the Arrington Living Center in Collins.

The Reverend Brenda McClendon will officiate the service. Mrs. Gwen Hitt will provide the music. Billy M. King-Colonial Chapel Funeral Home in Collins will be in charge of the arrangements.

Mrs. Joyce was known as " Gramma " to her family. She was a member of Saint Elizabeth's Episcopal Church in Collins. Joyce enjoyed life in Collins with family, friends and church members. She also enjoyed her children's and grandchildren's softball, baseball and football games. She never missed a game. She was a mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister and friend and she will be dearly missed.

She was preceded in death by her parents Randolph and Emma Brunson Bagby; brothers, Wayne Burke and Lyle Burke; sisters, Joan Bagby, Donna Bagby Devine and Shirley Burke LeMond; and a son-in-law, Ross Williams.

Survivors include her sons, Randall Poss (Rebbecca) of Mount Olive, MS and Robert Poss (Brandi) of Baytown, TX; daughters, Sharon Poss McLaughlin (Robert) of Ellisville, Kathy Poss Richardson (Mack) of Saint Louis, MO and Gayle Poss Williams (Ross) of Collins.
